Take Your Taste Buds To a Whole New Level

Try Tracy’s All-Purpose Seasoning, the “Maverick Blend,” on all of your favorite foods! One of the definitions of “Maverick” is stand alone. That is the good thing about this all-purpose seasoning. Instead of having to use five or six different seasonings you just have to use one; the Maverick Blend to bring out all the flavors of your meals. This seasoning will enhance the flavor of the foods that you already enjoy. The following are recommendations for what foods to use the seasoning on, but don’t hesitate to try it on anything else to enhance its flavor too. Once you have tried it, you will replace the salt and pepper shaker on your table with the Maverick Blend. It will be the seasoning that you will keep handy for cooking all of your favorite meals. These recommendations are tried and true and we want to share them with you so you can enjoy the great flavor that the Maverick Blend will add to your favorite foods.

Our Recipes

Vegetables

Sprinkle over your favorite vegetables. The following are a few suggested vegetables that have been enjoyed by me and my friends after being seasoned with the Maverick Blend.

Fresh tomatoes: Slice the tomato and then sprinkle the seasoning on top and enjoy.

You can enjoy this seasoning on your favorite vegetables while you are cooking them on the stove, steaming them or cooking them on the grill. You can also add the seasoning after they are cooked.

Squash, asparagus, corn, green beans, onions, potatoes and zucchini have been enjoyed but don’t hesitate to try it on more then what I have suggested. The seasoning really enhances the flavor of fried potatoes.

Meat

No matter how you like to cook your meat, grill, oven or frying pan, this seasoning will add a great flavor that you will use every time you cook. If you are cooking a steak, sprinkle on the steak to your taste then cook. You can always add some later if it needs more. Meats that are baked such as a roast or prime rib should be generously coated and then baked. I like to put the seasoning on the meat and then take my hand to rub it all over to make sure that it is completely covered. Make sure to cover the sides also. If you are cooking it in a slow cooker, season the meat on both sides, lay the meat in the cooker, barely cover it with water and cook on low till done. The best part is to use the seasoned juices that are left in the cooker to make gravy that can be served with the meat and put over mashed potatoes.

Chicken & Turkey

The seasoning can be used on a whole bird or on a single breast. When you are cooking a whole bird, generously coat the whole outside, rub it all over with your hands and bake or fry. Boneless breast are good when you sprinkle some seasoning on then bake. You can also use it to flavor your fried chicken. Add the Maverick Blend to your chicken coating in place of the other seasonings and fry as usual. If you want more flavor after it is done, just sprinkle it on to your liking.

Wildfown

I usually breast out my geese and ducks so there is a nice boneless piece of meat to enjoy. The breast can be grilled, baked or slow cooked. Sprinkle the Maverick Blend to your taste. If you are cooking it in a slow cooker, season the meat on both sides, lay the meat in the cooker, barely cover it with water and cook on low till done. The best part is to use the seasoned juices that are left in the cooker to make gravy that can be served with the meat and put over mashed potatoes.

Fish

The Maverick Blend can be used on your favorite fish. I love the Maverick Blend on a couple of our local fish caught here in the Chesapeake Bay. They include Rockfish (Striped Bass) and Perch. Sprinkle a light coating of the Maverick Blend over the fish, put a little butter on top and bake till done. This is when you want to fry up some potatoes with the Maverick Blend, cook up some corn bread and you couldn’t ask for a better Eastern Shore meal!

Venison

The Maverick Blend can be used on all of the cuts of meat, whether you are cooking it on the grill, baking it or in a slow cooker. Cover the meat with the Maverick Blend to your taste. If you are cooking it in a slow cooker, season the meat on both sides, lay the meat in the cooker, barely cover it with water and cook on low till done. The best part is to use the seasoned juices that are left in the cooker to make gravy that can be served with the meat and put over mashed potatoes.
